If you’re looking for a different way to plant your Apple iSight Webcam on your desk or near your computer than the clips that Apple includes, Mac accessory maker MacMice has introduced the SightFlex. The SightFlex is shipping today and costs US$29.99.
MacMice said the SightFlex takes its styling cues from gooseneck lamps. It has a flexible, articulated steel tubing stand plated in satin chrome, mounted to a hemispherical silver base. The top of the SightFlex terminates in a six-pin FireWire connector that the iSight camera itself connects to.
The SightFlex is more than 20 inches tall and can reach over the top of a 23-inch Cinema Display, according to MacMice. And because it uses a gooseneck tube, the SightFlex can be pulled and twisted to different angles. It uses a five-foot long FireWire cable.
