SimpleTech Inc. has announced that their new ProX SD (Secure Digital) flash memory cards are available for immediate delivery. They’re removable flash storage with data transfer rates up to 10MB per second.
When used with a digital camera, the ProX Series SD cards reduce wait time between shots and feature a write protect switch to prevent accidental overwriting of data and images, according to SimpleTech. About the size of a postage stamp, they measure 24mm x 32mm by 2.1mm and weigh three grams.
The ProX SD flash memory cards are available in 256MB and 512MB capacities. They have manufacturer’s suggested retail prices of US$159 and $299 respectively.
