Nova media Volker Kohl Network Services has announced the release of Mobile High Speed v3.1, an updated version of their mobile phone connection manager for Mac OS X. The updated version gains Panther support and improves connections for more than 43 mobile phone networks worldwide.
Mobile High Speed is used to enable laptop users with mobile phones to connect to the Internet using GPRS, GSM or HSCSD connections. The software works with phones that support Bluetooth, Infrared and nova media’s own USB cables, as well as some PC Card modems.
Nova media claims that Mobile High Speed works with “nearly all major mobile networks worldwide and most mobile phones from Motorola, Nokia, Philips, Siemens and SonyEricsson.”
The software automatically detects the mobile phone and mobile network carrier, the configured the Mac to use the connection through the Remote Access or Internet Connect interfaces.

Mobile High Speed costs €86. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2 or higher or Mac OS 9.2.2, with a supported cell phone, cellular phone network, and appropriate Mac to phone connectivity.
