UK Mac game publisher Feral Interactive announced Tuesday that its Mac conversion of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc has reached the Release Candidate milestone, when the developer and QA department look for any last-minute problems before declaring the game Gold Master and sending it to duplication.
Mac plans for Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc were just confirmed by Feral late last month. It’s a conversion of an enormously popular platform game series that originated on consoles and the PC that feature a limbless hero named Rayman. Published for the PC by Ubi Soft Entertainment, Rayman 3’s Mac conversion is being handled by Feral Interactive’s development partner Zonic.
This installment of the game pits Rayman against the Hoodlum Soldiers as he seeks to purge the Lord of the Dark Lumbs from Globox. To that end, Rayman is outfitted with a variety of weapons and tools like Shock Rockets, the Lockjaw, Vortex Fist, Mini-Shoe car, Funky-boards and more.
System requirements for Rayman 3 call for Mac OS X v10.1.3 or higher or Mac OS 9.1 or higher, G3/500MHz or faster, 128MB RAM (Mac OS 9) or 256MB RAM (Mac OS X), 1.2GB hard disk space, 3D graphics card with 16MB VRAM.
