Script Software has released Project Timer Pro, a time tracking application. Based on the company’s Project Timer, the pro version adds invoice handling, multiple ways to track time and more.
Project Timer Pro lets you create customized invoices that can be tailored to a variety of business models. Invoices can be generated using pre-defined templates.
When it comes to time tracking, in addition to the large clear icons on the main document window (as in Project Timer), Project Timer Pro has an “intelligent” remote control that can be minimized to take up little space — yet when moused over, it will display the active timers. (On Mac OS X, Project Timer Pro takes advantage of the Dock menu.)
The pro version adds four separate searchable, sortable columns that can store a variety of data. It also features data journaling, in which every data modification is recorded in a format that Project Timer understands. If the data file becomes damaged, lost or corrupt, Project Timer Pro can rebuild that data file from the journal file, according to Script Software.
What’s more, Project Timer Pro provides the ability to have multiple users. Each user can have his own preferences, categories, clients timer records, invoices, reports, Timer Record Templates, Invoice Templates and other items. If users are collected together using a group, their data is shared among other Project Timer Pro users in the group.
The application is compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x. It costs US$50.
