It’s been a busy week for Freeverse Software — they just got out their new card, 3D Crazy Eights — into the retail market, and on Friday they announced that their newest title Burning Monkey Casino has gone Gold Master and is ready for duplication.
“Burning Monkey” games are a long-running staple of Freeverse fare, and in the past few months they’ve released Burning Monkey Solitaire 3 and Burning Monkey Mah Jong Solitaire. Now comes Burning Monkey Casino, a collection of five games of chance and skill featuring up to eight animal avatars.
Blackjack, Poker, Slots, Scratch ‘n’ Win and 3 Card Monty are all available for play, using imaginary money or, in some cases, bananas to wager. And Burning Monkey Casino even features a “Lounge Act and a bad Borscht-Belt comedian,” to make your gambling experience complete.
In classic Freeverse style, the game features many corny jokes and knee-slapping animation. The game uses an OpenGL-based engine created by Mark Andersson that sports particle effects, artwork by Steven Tze, and music by Andrew Tokuda and Kevin Serfass.
Burning Monkey Casino is exclusively for Mac OS X and carries a suggested retail price of US$19.95. Look for it soon from Apple resellers and find more information about it at the Freeverse Store.
