Italian software developer Ilexsoft on Monday released HighDesign v1.1, a new version of their CAD and illustration package for the Mac. The new release gains more than 30 new features, according to the developer, including support for Mac OS X v10.3 “Panther.”
HighDesign is a 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) and illustration program that sports vector tools and other technology designed to help designers. The software supports multiple sheets and layers, support for ISO, ASME and custom page layouts, customizable line-types and hatch patterns, and dozens of other features.
Other new features include support for Quartz anti-aliasing and adjustable fill transparency; a new Edit toolbar to simplify use of editing functions; a new Print Area tool; enhanced Dimension tool; auto page scrolling; improved linear and angular unit handling; faster snap to objects; improved DXF file compatibility and new symbol libraries.
HighDesign v1.1 is a free update for registered users. HighDesign v1.1 is available in Professional (US$349.95) and Standard ($149.95) versions. More details are available from the Web site.
