Xerox on Tuesday announced the DP 1011, a 2.1-pound digital projector that provides a contrast ratio of 2000:1, 1100 ANSI lumens of brightness and 1024 x 768 (XGA) resolution. The DP 1011 can display up to 16.7 million colors focused through a Carl Zeiss f/2.8-3.1 zoom lens.
The US$2,499 projector uses a Digital Light Processor (DLP) instead of LCD. The DP 1011 supports NTSC, PAL and SECAM, and operates at 34 decibels. It has a VGA connector, USB port, S-Video input and one composite RCA-type connector.
The DP 1011 comes with a credit card-sized remote control, cables and a carrying case. Additionally, it has dual infrared receivers — front and rear — that lets you wirelessly adjust the image quality.
