Inventive Inc. on Wednesday released iScooper v1.5, a new version of its Internet media downloading software for Mac OS X. The new version adds several major new features including integration with Safari.
iScooper is used to grab pictures from Web image galleries. Once downloaded, they can be viewed with a full-screen slide show. The concept behind iScooper is to allow users to view batches of photos stored locally much faster than they could with a conventional Web browser.
In addition to Safari integration, iScooper v1.5 adds AppleScript support and the ability to browse local media. Hot key access, “scooping” multiple addresses simultaneously, better keyboard control, and compatibility with additional formats including PICT, BMP and PSD are all new features, as well.
iScooper is available for download as a “try before you buy” download. It costs US$19.95 to register and is a free upgrade for registered users. iScooper requires Mac OS X v10.1 or later.
