Apple Computer Inc. unveiled its latest consumer desktop machine, the 20-inch flat panel iMac. The new iMac joins the 15-inch Combo Drive and 17-inch SuperDrive models in Apple’s consumer line-up. Apple also added power to its professional desktop line with the introduction of the dual 1.8GHz Power Mac G5. Updates to the company’s pro applications bring optimizations for the G5 and Panther.
