Canadian display maker ViewSonic Corp. on Friday introduced two new six-pound digital projectors — its PJ510 and PJ650 models. The PJ510 is ViewSonic’s new entry-level model, while the PK650 is aimed at larger conference rooms and brighter environments.
Priced at CDN$1,569 (approximately US$1,145), the PJ510 features 800×600 pixel resolution and sports 1,200 lumen brightness and a 300:1 contrast ratio. It features S-Video, composite and component video input along with a 15-pin D-sub input to accept analog video from Macs or PCs.
The PJ650 carries a $2,969 (US$2,166) price tag and sports 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and brightness rated at 2,000 lumens and a 350:1 contrast ratio. The PJ650’s inputs include dual analog video inputs, along with composite, component and S-Video connectors. It features an analog video output as well.
