With the holidays right around the corner, Apple’s .Mac online service has posted a new training feature that outlines the use of key iLife applications like iMovie and iDVD.
The training has been broken into 36 movies and topics ranging from the basics of using a digital video camera to iMovie editing fundamentals and sharing your finished work with iDVD and .Mac’s HomePage feature. What’s more, the training is sprinkled with commentary from The Little Digital Video Book author Michael Rubin.
And .Mac’s home page now sports details about the new Members Only folder, which contains links to sound effects and royalty-free soundtracks available to .Mac subscribers through their iDisk, among much more.
While many users utilize their iDisk simply as a way to store files online, synchronize data and backup files, iDisks also contain links to other content available on Apple’s servers. These files include 13 sound effects created by Skywalker Sound for use in iMovie, as well as royalty-free soundtracks in AAC format courtesy of Freeplay. Both sets of files can be found in the Members Only folder on your iDisk.
