Macworld UK reports that the recent MacExpo 2003 event in London, England ended on a positive note. The show attracted more than 22,000 attendees. Encouraged by their success, vendors have already signed on for next year’s event as well as another MacExpo event planned for June 2004 in Germany.
“While many IT shows are in decline, the Mac community and its vertical markets are in a period of massive growth,” group event director Bob Denton told Macworld UK.
MacExpo’s coordinators aren’t the only ones who were pleased, either — Macworld UK reports that vendors were pleased with their results, too. The publication cites positive comments from Adobe, Apple and other vendors.
Attendees used the event as a chance to get up close and personal with hardware and software technology they’d heard and read about but had not yet had a chance to test-drive.
MacExpo is billed as the largest Mac-specific technology event in the UK. MacExpo 2004 has been scheduled for November 18 – 20, 2004. Visit the MacExpo Web site after the new year for more information.
