With the new update to version 2.1, DiscBlaze by
delivers enhancements to the CD/DVD burning utility for Mac OS X.
Version 2.1, which is a free update to registered users, is now able to make Mac/PC hybrid disc images from a disc layout, as well as create DMG disc images. The software also adds the ability to create an ISO disc image from an existing folder or volume. The update also provides a preference for DiscBlaze temp file creation that allows users to specify volumes for the images.
DiscBlaze 2.1 requires Mac OS X 10.3 for the new disc image functionality, and requires Mac OS X 10.2.6 or newer for all other functions.
DiscBlaze costs $19 and offers a variety of CD and DVD burning tools. The software can save multiple sessions of the same CD, and can save and load “burn lists.” Users can also burn existing Toast or ISO images, plus erase CD-RWs.
The company also produces a number of other Macintosh titles, including Maccabinet, Zephyr and Amazon Shopper, which are also available for purchase online.
