Rayner Software on Tuesday introduced MacShowroom, a new utility to help digital photographers without Web publishing experience to upload their images to the Web.
MacShowroom works without requiring any server or HTML knowledge on the user’s end, because the utility uploads files to the MacShowroom.com Web site. Users get their own URL, which in turn becomes their online gallery space.
MacShowroom features different visual themes and supports the ability to dynamically change the size of images that are sent to the viewer. That way, you can configure your online gallery to display images of one size to users of dial-up connections, while broadband users can look at larger images. MacShowroom also offers usage statistics.
MacShowroom is offered as a free two-week trial service with 5MB of disk space. Subscriptions cost US$29 for 6 months or $35 per year. A subscription increases the user’s server disk space quote to 50MB.
