Aspyr Media Inc. has sent out its monthly e-newsletter to subscribers, and it’s chock full of news about the status of Aspyr’s games in development. Although some of the information is recycled from past press releases, there’s plenty of new info there too.
Aspyr previously noted that its Mac conversion of Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb had gone “gold master,” the final step before a game goes into duplication. The newsletter confirmed that the game is now shipping to retailers.
Now in duplication is Law & Order: Dead on the Money, a murder mystery game based on the enormously popular television series Law & Order. It even features the voices (and images) of the show’s stars, as players help to investigate then prosecute a murder that took place in New York’s Central Park. The game will ship on December 3, 2003.
Two games have reached development milestones: Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Raven Shield and Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray. Raven Shield is now at Final Candidate (FC) — it’s the latest iteration of the popular squad-based tactical action game. Wakeboarding Unleashed is also at FC, according to Aspyr — this game puts players behind a speedboat as a professional wakeboarder.
Aspyr also indicated (as MacCentral has previously noted) that X2 Wolverine’s Revenge, Star Trek Elite Force II and Indiana Jones and the Emperor’s Tomb are all shipping. And if you’re a Game Boy Advance owner, Aspyr’s Activision Anthology for GBA will hit store shelves in early December.
