Apple’s newest retail store opens just in time for the holiday shopping rush. The new store is opening in Alpharetta, Ga. at the North Point Mall.
The grand opening of Apple Store North Point is set to occur this Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003 at 10 AM. The store is located on the mall’s lower level near J.C. Penney, between Brookstone and Victoria’s Secret. Alpharetta is a northeastern suburb of Atlanta; the mall is located off of Exit 9 on Georgia 400 North. The North Point store is the second Apple Store to come to Georgia; another Apple Store is already in place at the Lenox Square mall in Atlanta’s Buckhead area.
The new North Point store features many of the same amenities you’ll find at other Apple Stores around the country (and now in Japan too), including areas showcasing Macs working with a variety of peripherals and devices, shelves of software and peripherals and much more. The Alpharetta store also has a theater where Apple employees offer regular training and information sessions including introductions to Mac ownership and workshops on how to make movies or work with digital photography and music.
As always, the first 1,000 people in the door will receive t-shirts to commemorate the store’s opening. The Grand Opening Sweepstakes will also award a “Digital Lifestyle Collection” to one lucky entrant; it includes a flat-panel iMac, digital camera, camcorder and printer.
