Companion Engineering & Design Corp;. on Tuesday released Intuem v2.1, a new release of their tool for recording, editing, arranging and mixing music on the Mac. The new version gains support for Panther and many other improvements as well.
In addition to recording and editing music, Intuem is also helpful if you want to transcribe music into MIDI, remix songs, mix a playlist and much more. The 2.0 release, offered in September, added support for Mac OS X’s AudioUnit technology, along with new exporting features, new mixing capabilities and more.
Other changes in Intuem v2.1 beside support for Panther include a new visual and editable indicator for the section being looped, an adjustable quantize strength feature, a new brushed metal appearance, a toolbar item to indicate current tempo, new options to MIDI device preferences, improved performance and lots more.
Intuem requires a G3/500MHz or faster; Mac OS X v10.2.6 or higher and 128MB RAM. Intuem v2.1 is a free update for existing Intuem 2 users; follow your re-download instructions to get the latest version. Users of Intuem 1.x can upgrade for US$49; the full version costs $79.
