Enhancing its network workflow software program ExtremeZ-IP, Group Logic has announced version 3.1.1 of the file and print server product. The Windows-to-Macintosh software solution has gained a number of features, including better support and performance with Mac OS X clients.
ExtremeZ-IP is an IP based file sharing solution enabling mixed platform workgroups to easily share files without having to rely on the AppleTalk protocol, instead using the TCP/IP standard and Rendezvous.
Version 3.1.1 brings improved Mac OS X file transfer performance, better Unicode character support, and a variety of bug fixes.
The update is free to customers that have a license for version 3.x and have a current Maintenance and Support contract with Group Logic.
Group Logic develops a variety of LAN and WAN file and print serving applications, which can be found at the company’s Web site.
