ShuttlePRO maker Contour Design Inc. has introduced its NoteRiser, a new device intended to improve the ergonomics of laptop computer use.
The NoteRiser is made of aluminum alloy, and it provides laptop user with the ability to raise their notebook computer screens higher off the desk than they could otherwise go. When used with an external keyboard, this improves the user’s body posture, according to Contour Design. This can reduce the risk of neck and back pain and eyestrain, according to the manufacturer.
The NoteRiser measures 11.8 x 10.63 inches and flattens to 1/6th of an inch. It weighs about 14 ounces. The suggested retail price for the NoteRiser is US$129.95, and Contour Design plans to ship the new accessory in mid-December.
The NoteRiser will make its public debut at Contour Design’s booth at next week’s National Ergonomics Conference & Exposition (NECE) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Look for them in booth 348.
