The Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group plans to meet at next week’s DV Expo in Los Angeles, Calif. The meeting will take place on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003 at 5:15PM.
Apple’s Paul Saconne is scheduled to provide a demonstration of Final Cut Pro v4.1, and he’ll also show off AJA’s recently announced Io LA and LD FireWire-based video input devices.
Editor Rick lue and Ramy Katrib from Digital FilmTree are both scheduled to talk about how Final Cut Pro-based editing comes into play on the set of NBC’s comedy “Scrubs.” Brad Wright will demonstrate how to get media off a DVD and imported into Final Cut Pro; Tom Wolsky will demo the Auto Select option in Final Cut Pro v4.1, and Alex Weinress will shop clips from “The Last Game,” a highly acclaimed sports documentary.
A question and answer period will happen, and a raffle with thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes is also on the agenda. A US$5 donation is requested at the door. For more details about next week’s meeting, visit the Web site.
