Jungle Software has released Gorilla 2.0, a new version of their production software aimed at emerging filmmakers. The software runs on Mac OS X, Mac OS 9 and Windows, and sports more than 50 new features.
Gorilla can import screenplay info from Final Draft and Movie Magic Screenwriter, and it also provides budgeting and scheduling capabilities. It can track cast, crew, locations, rehearsals, profit sharing and film festival submissions. What’s more, Gorilla manages multiple budget scenarios, board swap, international currencies with conversions and production phases.
Gorilla is available in Student, Standard and Pro Editions — the differences involve limits on shoot days and budget amounts. The Student Edition costs US$199, Standard Edition costs $299, and the Pro Edition runs for $399.
