Oxalyn Software announced today that the beta testing period for AE Monitor is over and version 1.0 is now available. This handy application watches over Apple Events as they occur and assembles the data into an easy-to-understand format that can be viewed in a floating window or minimized into a pixel-saving “ticker” display.
Oxalyn notes that AE Monitor is capable of session-wide monitoring that grabs Apple Events sent to or from any application as well as event grouping and filtering to keep like data together. Developers can also easily copy and paste the output into any text editor for further manipulation.
AE Monitor is compatible with Mac OS X version 10.2 and up (compatibility with version 10.1 has not been tested). While Oxalyn’s press release quoted a $20 price, the company’s web site states that the utility is now $5, “in response to overwhelming feedback.”
