Mac peripheral maker and distributor Dr. Bott LLC is now shipping its TiCase 15 II, a brushed aluminum briefcase aimed at users of Apple’s new aluminum-clad 15-inch PowerBook G4.
Following the same design cues as the original TiCase, the TiCase 15 II features matching cutouts for your PowerBook’s power supply, power cable and accessories. Also included is a slot for an iPod. The case is designed only to be opened when it’s right-side up, preventing you from spilling out your PowerBook and accessories by accident.
A detachable cover enables you to use the PowerBook while it’s still inside the case using “Lift-o-Matic” rear pads, or risers that provide access to the PowerBook’s ports while ergonomically tilting the keyboard and improving air circulation.
The TiCase 15 II costs US$429. It’s available direct from Dr. Bott as well as through the company’s reseller channel — visit the Web site for more info. The original TiCase, as well as TiCases for 12-inch and 17-inch PowerBooks are also available.
