Rampell Software LLC has released what it bills as “a significant upgrade” to its keystroke recorder for Mac OS X, TypeRecorder X. The new version, 2.0, is ready for download from Rampell’s Web site.
TypeRecorder X records all keystrokes typed and applications used on your Mac. It saves all work to a daily log file, which can be used in the even that the application or Mac you’re working with crashes.
Changes to version 2.0 include a complete rewrite using Mac OS X’s Cocoa application framework. Numerous features have been added including encryption of log files, hot key access and more.
TypeRecorder X v2.0 requires Mac OS X v10.2 “Jaguar” or higher, and is compatible with Mac OS X v10.3 “Panther.” It costs US$34.99 and can be downloaded as a free 5-day trial. Discounted upgrades for registered users of prior versions are available; contact Rampell Software for details.
