Apple on Tuesday released an update to the
Apple Remote Desktop
client software to bring it to version 1.2.4. The new version is available for download through the Software Update System Preferences pane.
Apple Remote Desktop enables system administrators, teachers and others to manage Macs on a network by remote control. The software provides real-time screen sharing capabilities and also allows administrators to configure remote systems, distribute software, and produce reports about software and hardware configurations.
“The Apple Remote Desktop Client version 1.2.4 update delivers improvements to security, performance, and reliability of the Apple Remote Desktop 1.2 client software running on Mac OS X versions 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3,” according to Apple.
