Forbes.com features a piece called Pick your favorite Apple ad that lets readers pick not just their favorite but also their least favorite Apple ads from a list of some of Apple’s more memorable advertising campaigns over the years.
“Chances are pretty good you don’t own an Apple computer. It’s not a dig at Apple, but rather just a statistical reality. Globally, only three out of 100 computers sold over the last 12 months were Apples,” said Arik Hesseldahl. “And while millions ignore Apple at the computer store, over the years it’s been much harder to ignore Apple Computer’s advertising.”
A pop-up window on the page provides readers with some background and context for the ads listed on the poll — everything from the legendary “1984” spot to “Think Different,” “Switchers” and other memorable television spots. Readers can then choose from eight different ads to classify as their favorite or least favorite, or opt out.
Results as MacCentral posted this article showed that “Lemmings” and “Snail” are both vying for the least favorite spot, while “1984” is winning people’s hearts by a fair margin — more than twice as many voted for it than the next runner-up, “Think Different.”
