The Discussions section of Apple’s Support Web site has gotten a major overhaul worthy of note. The area provides Mac users with a place to exchange information and questions about the use of their Apple products. Apple’s Discussions Staff noted that the new Web site went up late Tuesday afternoon.
The new Apple Discussions area features “a significant update to the user interface and a change to the way posts are rated. As well, users can now qualify for extra new features through the ratings to their posts as well as other factors,” according to the administrator responsible for posting the notice.
Other significant new features of the revamped support area include custom information the profile page. “Users at level 2 and above can post extra information to be shown on their user profile page,” said Apple. What’s more, users at level 3 and above are now capable of uploading a custom user icon.
Apple said the Discussions Web site’s help files are being updated to reflect the recent changes.
