Those of you unsatisfied with Mac OS X’s “Get Info” Finder command will appreciate Super Get Info, which Bare Bones Software updated to version 1.2 on Wednesday.
Super Get Info allows you to perform a lot of tasks that “Get Info” won’t allow, such as changing the information window for multiple items at the same time, viewing and editing Mac OS type and creator codes, viewing and editing UNIX owner, group, and permission settings, and more. Version 1.2 includes the ability to modify the Finder labels for selected items, a Mac OS X version 10.3 option to suppress alias resolution, and several more features and bug fixes.
Owners of Super Get Info can visit Bare Bones’ update page to download the free 1.2 update. If you’d like to learn more about the utility and download a fully-functional, 30-day demo, you can also find that on the Bare Bones web site. A registered copy is $20 and can be purchased from the company’s online store.
