On Monday, Koingo Software delivered an early Christmas present with the release of an upgrade to its handy Mac Pilot utility. According to the company, the big news in version 1.1 is the ability to “erase your tracks,” including clearing cookies and history in Safari and Internet Explorer, deleting the recently opened history in most applications, and more.
Mac Pilot also allows you to perform a wide variety of other tasks from its tabbed interface, including enabling Java and JavaScript in Mail, displaying invisible files in the Finder and Dock, force deletion of folders and files, repairing disk permissions, rebuilding the Locate and Whatis databases, modifying window resize speeds and scrollbar arrow placement, and more. It even adds a button for Exposé to the Dock.
Mac Pilot 1.1 is a free upgrade. New users can download a demo that allows free, unlimited use for 15 days before they have to pay a US$9.95 license fee.
