On Tuesday, German software company Objectpark Development announced updates to LetterWorks and LetterWorks Pro that bring both applications to version 1.5. Objectpark notes that the updates enhance the handling of templates in layout mode, increase stability, and offer other benefits for existing users.
LetterWorks allows you to pull data from your Address Book and automatically fill in the information, print PDF letterhead with your letters, create envelopes for your missives, use the included stationeries or make your own, and even write in the language of your choice. The application also includes a spellchecker, formatting capabilities, kerning adjustment, and other features found in most word processing applications.
The Pro version includes the ability to merge your letter with a mailing list for printing or faxing. Fax merge, however, requires SmileOnMyMac’s Page Sender 3.0.1 software.
Pricing is $29.95 for LetterWorks and $59.95 for the Pro edition. If you’d like to try before you buy, you can download a full-featured demo that prints a watermark on each letter until you purchase a license. System requirements call for Mac OS X version 10.2.3 or higher.
