Just in time for procrastinators looking to fill a Mac user’s digital stocking,
released SpamSlam 2.1 on Tuesday, a new version of their spam elimination software.
SpamSlam 2.0 featured the debut of the AccuFilter, which combines the strengths of rule-based, challenge/response, and statistical filters to offer a customizable solution, and version 2.1 offers an improved version.
The update also fixes several critical bugs and modifies SpamSlam’s SMTP client to add support for the PLAIN authentication mechanism and the LOGIN mechanism, as well as SMTP servers that require authentication.
SpamSlam 2.1 is available now as a free upgrade to existing users and as a fully functional trial version for new ones. The license fee is $24.95 for a single user and $34.95, $49.95, and $59.95 for 5-user, 10-user and unlimited account licenses, respectively. SpamSlam requires Mac OS X v.10.2 or higher.
