Photo Control Corp. has announced that it will show off a new BookEndz Docking Station at next week’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Calif. The new station is aimed at users of Apple’s new 15-inch aluminum-clad PowerBook G4.
The BookEndz Docking Station replaces connectors and ports on the PowerBook; it routes them to the back of the dock and simplifies the act of connecting the laptop to peripherals and other devices that get used on a regular basis. That way, users don’t have to continuously connect and reconnect devices individually when they remove their PowerBooks from their desks.
The BookEndz Docking Station routes power, Ethernet, modem, FireWire 400 and 800, USB 2.0, audio in, audio out, S-Video and DVI connections into the back of the dock. The dock also converts DVI and S-Video video signals to VGA.
Photo Control Corp. will also be showing the new 12-inch dock for Apple’s 12-inch PowerBook G4. Look for them in booth 3927.
Now in its 20th year, Macworld Conference & Expo happens from January 5 – 9, 2004 at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The expo’s exhibit halls will be open from January 6 – 9.
