Freeverse Software announced Monday that it is shipping ToySight, its camera-controlled game software for the Mac. It’s shipping to retailers and is available from Freeverse’s online store as well. The company said that pre-orders are being filled now, and it expects to have copies on hand for sale at next week’s Macworld Conference & Expo in San Francisco, Calif.
Developed by AirBurst maker Strange Flavour, ToySight includes a dozen different interactive games and toys for one or two players. Using an Apple iSight, FireWire-based Webcam or camcorder, users put themselves in the action, maneuvering on-screen controls or getting directly into the action themselves using arm and hand motions.
ToySight requires Mac OS X and a FireWire-based camera, and costs US$34.95. You can download a demo from the ToySight Web site.
