Professionals who use their Macs in creative endeavors know how many repetitive actions — file and folder renaming, conversion and modification of images, and more — they perform every day. AppleScript, however, can automate many of these mundane tasks and free up more time for creative output, and Automated Workflows, LLC president Benjamin S. Waldie will host an “AppleScript for the Creative Professional” session at next week’s Macworld Expo to explain how it works. It’s part of the Creative Juice Factory track for the event’s Users Conference.
Attendees will learn how they can use AppleScript to automate their workflow, complete with real-world demonstrations from a typical production environment. The goal is to show them how to increase their accuracy and efficiency while reducing mistakes and even saving money.
“AppleScript for the Creative Professional” will be held January 8, 2004 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m, and is available to anyone with a Users Conference or Combo Package pass.
