At Macworld Conference & Expo, Web applications developer NetXposure announced an enhanced edition of Image Portal X for Mac OS X. The new version incorporates functionality from the Adobe InDesign plug-in InCaddy to streamline enterprise-wide digital asset usage.
Image Portal X is built on NetXposure’s Exogen Application Framework to create a Web-based content management solution that the company says is designed for use by everyone from digital imaging professionals to non-technical users. New features include LDAP support that links a company’s contacts database with Image Portal’s permission-based access control features and the Web Services ability, which enables communication with external systems to speed the sharing of critical files.
According to NetXposure, existing Image Portal X customers can upgrade to the new edition for free, assuming they have a support and maintenance contract. Those without one should contact the company for more details. The full package price for a new license is US$14,995 per CPU.
