Apago, Inc.’s PDFmerge 1.0, which was released this week, is a companion to the company’s PDFshrink tool that allows you to combine multiple documents — whether they’re in PDF, PostScript, TIFF, JPEG, or other formats — into a single PDF. You simply drag your documents into the application and select the order in which the pages should appear.
Features include AppleScript support, settings that you can save and reload, and the ability to set the final page size equal to the trim. Files created with PDFmerge are compatible with Apple’s Preview utility as well as Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Acrobat Reader. The application works with Mac OS X v.10.2 (Jaguar) and Mac OS X v.10.3 (Panther) and sells for US$89.
