Aspyr Media Inc. plans to release a Mac conversion of Novalogic’s Delta Force — Black Hawk Down. The game is expected for a release in early May.
Delta Force — Black Hawk Down returns players to Mogadishu, Somalia, circa 1993, as they participate in Operate Restore Hope. It’s a first person shooter that puts you in the role of a Delta Force operative who participates in a series of raids against Somali warlords in and around Mogadishu. Players can use authentically modeled weapons and open fire from heavy weapons mounted in Black Hawk helicopters or on military vehicles. The game supports multiplayer action, as well.
The game is being developed internally by the programmers of Aspyr Studios. It’s currently at its Alpha stage of development, according to the company. System requirements and pricing were not announced. Look for more details to be posted to the Web site soon.
