Silicon Graphics Inc. subsidiary Alias Systems has announced the return of its Maya Productivity Pack and has launched a new Maya Explorer Bundle. Both products are aimed at users of Alias’ flagship 3D rendering and animation software Maya.
Maya Productivty Pack includes Maya Complete 5, a 90-day trial membership to Alias’ eSupport online support service, and six Learning Tools. The package costs US$2,198. Available for previous versions of Maya, this marks its return for the most recently release, Maya Complete 5.
The Learning Tools bundled with the Maya Productivity Pack include Learning Maya 5 | Foundation; Rendering; Character Rigging and Animation; Modeling for Animation; Introducing Maya 5 — 3D for Beginners and Maya Techniques | Patch Modeling for Visual Effects.
The Maya Explorer Bundle is aimed at users who already own a copy of Maya and are just starting out to explore its capabilities. Included are the same six Learning Tools available with the Maya Productivity Pack. The bundle costs $199, or a 50 percent savings off the suggested retail price of each tool if it was purchased separately.
