It isn’t always easy to be a Mac user in a Windows world, and Actual Technologies sought to level the playing field with their Mac-only, Mac-first Actual ODBC Driver for Microsoft SQL Server. It allows you to access SQL Server databases from an application such as Excel and use queries to populate spreadsheets, charts, and graphs with live data.
The Actual ODBC Driver doesn’t require the installation of special software on the SQL Server machine, nor does it need special configuration of the server, thanks to a configuration wizard that takes the hassles out.
There are no minimum licensing requirements with Actual ODBC Driver, and you can purchase it for US$29.95 per seat. An evaluation copy is available for download from the Actual Technologies Web site, or you can stop by booth #2250 during Macworld Conference & Expo to see it in action.
