Hot on the heels of the release of PDFmerge 1.0, Apago Inc. has announced a major upgradeto PDF Enhancer. Version 2.0 adds new features that include the ability tomerge PDFs and image files into one PDF, color correction with GrayReduction technology that fixes problematic black colors, JBIG2 compressionthat reduces the size of scanned documents by 70 to 90 percent, the optionto add watermarks and stamps to PDFs, and layout changes that allow you toresize pages, create booklets, and perform common impositions.

Version 2.0 also separates the Target and Enhancer functions that debuted inthe first edition. You can create a Target that preserves the settings forthe final use of a document and then group multiple Targets together withthe Enhancer, which takes a single PDF and produces final documents withdifferent settings while preserving the content.
You can choose from four versions of PDF Enhancer 2.0, all supported in MacOS X v.10.2 (Jaguar) or higher. The Standard (US$179) and Professional($349) editions are for desktop use; those who need to use the applicationin a networked environment can choose from Server Edition ($999) and ServerEdition with JBIG2 compression support ($1499).
