Israeli developer RedleX has released Mellel 1.7, the latest version of their multi-lingual Mac OS X word processor “designed especially for scholarly, creative and technical writers,” is now available for download from the company’s Web site.
RedleX notes that this is a major upgrade that features flexible auto-numbering, a table of contents that generates and regenerates automatically, auto-number format editing, unlimited “caption flows” for charts and other images, references that automatically link to content, correct Arabic/Persian justification support with Kashida, the option to set header and footer heights in inches, centimeters, or points, and more.
Mellel 1.7 is also localized in Greek and Serbian and has updated localizations for Dutch, Esperanto, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Romanian, Spanish, and Swedish.
The upgrade is free. The full version of Mellel is US$29; RedleX invites inquiries into volume purchases. The application requires Mac OS X v.10.2 (Jaguar) or higher.
