Microsoft Project is a popular way for Windows-using managers to keep track of what they have to do, but there’s no Mac version available. There are equivalents, however, including AEC Software’s FastTrack. The company recently announced that they’ve optimized their online Project Converter. Project Converter uses XML to convert Microsoft Project files into files usable with the company’s FastTrack Schedule 8 software.
FastTrack Schedule 8 9s the latest iteration of AEC’s popular project management software. Key features include the creation of Gantt charts to detail your projects; a Calendar View to display project details; auto styles per outline, and much more. FastTrack Schedule 8 has been redesigned to run natively in Mac OS X and uses its Aqua interface. It also features stability, speed and performance improvements.
The new Project Converter site transfers data from Microsoft Project 2003, 2002, 2000, and 98 files faster than before and can convert up to three files simultaneously. After you upload the files, AEC’s servers complete the free conversion and return the new ones to you via e-mail.
