If you write scripts for TV, film, advertising or any other visual industry, you know how important storyboards are. While traditional word processors can be clunky when it comes to integrating graphics with scripts, Final Draft AV makes such a chore a breeze with its dual-column feature. Now KeynotePro has updated their PitchBoards application, which allows you to place visuals in your scripts and export the final product into Apple’s Keynote application.
PitchBoards now includes up to 32 additional ready-to-use storyboard layouts ready for you to insert your script and other written materials. The tool leverages Keynote so that you can include background music or animatics, swap masters to rework your pitch for a different industry, or even export your presentation as a PDF that you can print and hand out before you start the show.
You can choose from two versions of PitchBoards: Classic contains slide masters for 4:3 and 3:2 (television and DV) aspect ratios; Pro includes masters for 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 1.85:1, 2.35:1, and IMAX aspect ratios. Both offer a Supplemental Layouts folder filled with complex templates that are ready to go.
This new edition of PitchBoards is a free update for all registered users. The Classic version sells for US$19.95 while the Pro version is $28.95. KeynotePro recommends that you have Keynote 1.1 and the Stone Sans font on your Mac, and that your processor run at 800MHz or higher if you want to use simultaneous video clip sequences.
