Mac peripheral manufacturer and distributor Dr. Bott on Thursday announced that it’s shipping the G5 Skateboard and G5 Roof. Both are new peripherals made by Japanese manufacturer Power Support aimed at owners of Apple’s Power Mac G5.
The G5 Skateboard is intended for Power Mac G5 users who have a need to move their system around the office. It installs with a screwdriver and provides your Mac with rolling casters to make it easier to move, while retaining the elegant and austere look of the G5. It costs US$129.
The G5 roof, meanwhile, serves as a top cover for your Power Mac G5, resting flush between the top handles. The device creates a flat, functional surface out of the top of your G5, according to Dr. Bott. It retails for $74.99.
And if you’re interested, a version of the Skateboard is available for Power Mac G3 and G4 owners too. Visit Dr. Bott’s Web site for details. The products are available for order from Dr. Bott’s Web site. Reseller inquiries are welcome.
