Developer Cross Culture sent out word that a major upgrade to Mergemill, their publishing tool for Web site and CD-ROM development and HTML file generation, is now available. Mergemill allows you to create templates and combine them with content files to quickly create Web pages. The company notes that content files can be created in FileMaker Pro, 4th Dimension, Excel, AppleWorks, or any text editor.
Mergemill 3.5 offers a variety of improvements, including new CASE tags and expanded IF tags. You can now mix and nest IF and CASE structures and use one of three comparison operators to specify a range of check of check values, instead of one. You can also include the “wildcard” symbol in any check value.
The application requires Mac OS 9.2 or Mac OS X v.10.2 (Jaguar), as well as QuickTime for its graphics processing features. The upgrade to Mergemill 3.5 is free for registered users of earlier versions; a single-user license for the full version is US$99.
