Findley Designs gave notice that iPod Access has now been updated to version 3.0. New features include playlist cloning into iTunes, additional database error checks, and bug fixes and performance tweaks.
iPod Access allows you to transfer songs from your iPod to your Mac, a process that the MP3 player doesn’t normally allow. Unlike other iPod transfer utilities, which grab ID3 tag information by opening each music file, iPod Access displays your iPod’s contents, including tags from protected AAC files purchased at the iTunes Music Store, almost instantly by digging into your iPod’s internal database. You can then copy over the songs you want, organized into folders you set up, or listen to them directly in the main window.
The new version of the utility is a free upgrade for 1.x and 2.x owners. The full edition is US$10.
