Citrus Software has released CloakIt 3.0. The US$11.95 Mac OS X utility allows you to cloak an unlimited number of folders and their contents and keep them hidden from prying eyes. You can turn it on and off as needed and it comes with password protection for extra security.
The week before, Citrus updated another Mac OS X tool, VoiceNoteMenu, to version 2.3. The free upgrade fixes a variety of bugs and adds a new folder browser for the “Save To” feature. VoiceNoteMenu allows you to record up to 99 brief voice notes from the Mac OS X menu bar. Each voice note is time-stamped so that you can find it later by clicking on the VoiceNoteMenu icon in the menu bar. A single-user license is $11.95.
Citrus Software also offers a variety of other single-user licensing options: $20 for 3 products, $25 for 4, $30 for 5, or $49.95 for all 9. In addition, you can buy a lifetime single-user license for all 9 applications for $79.95 or a lifetime site license for $149.95.
