Fastora, which specializes in storage products for network environments, recently announced new Mac-friendly additions to its LiteStor and PowerStor lines of Network Attached Storage (NAS) RAID servers. They’re plug-and-play and scale from 600GB to 2.4TB in capacity.
“Fastora’s solutions are ideal for creative, advertising, design, video, and multimedia studios looking to quickly and significantly increase storage capacity and redundancy for Mac-based networks,” said Kit Chui, sales director for the company.
The new servers offer Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, a Web-based management interface, up to 8 IDE, hot swappable drive bays, redundant power supplies, Mini PCI expansion slots, Compact Flash sockets, back-up utilities, and more. All but the LiteStor NAS-T2 offer RAID 0, 1, 5 and JBOD; the NAS-T2 offers RAID 0 and 1.
Fastora added that the servers will be available this month with the following pricing: LiteStor NAS-T2 Micro Tower (600GB, 2 IDE drive bays, 512MB memory), US$749; LiteStor NAS-T4 Tower (1.2TB, 4 IDE, 256MB), $1,095; PowerStor NAS-104 1U (1.2TB, 4 IDE, 512MB), $1,099; PowerStor NAS-T8 Tower (2.4TB, 8 IDE, 512MB), $2,799; and PowerStor NAS-208 2U (2.4TB, 8 IDE, 512MB), $2,799.
