On Friday, Canadian developer Badia Software announced the release of two new XTensions for QuarkXPress and QuarkXPress Passport 6.0: LiveKeys 1.5 and OfficialReport 2.0. Both are Mac OS X native and take advantage of new functionality in QuarkXPress 6.
LiveKeys 1.5 adds support for new menus and toolbars in QuarkXPress 6. It allows you to customize menu shortcuts, assign keyboard shortcuts to tools and special commands, manage your style sheet shortcuts, create and share custom sets, and more. LiveKeys 1.5 even automatically checks for shortcut conflicts and can resolve them for you.
OfficialReport 2.0 features a redesigned user interface, customizable picture usage reports, and reports for all layouts contained in a project. It creates reports that detail all the features in your projects. The new edition puts together formatted listings of document fonts, color usage, style sheets, H&Js, picture fonts and colors, layout preferences, picture usage details, print styles, and more.
Both XTensions require QuarkXPress or QuarkXPress Passport 6.x and Mac OS X v.10.2.x (Jaguar) or higher. Earlier versions are also available for QuarkXPress 4 and 5 users. Pricing is US$49.99 for single licenses of either LiveKeys or OfficialReport, with $19.99 upgrades from previous versions. Badia notes that volume discounts and bundles with their other products are also available; check their Web site for more details.
